Bring the camp school to Funen
You're guaranteed a wealth of activities when you go on a school camp to THE FOUNDRY. With our location close to the city, your stay can include a visit to the nearby natural history museum Naturama. A must-see is The Danish Welfare Museumthe old poor farm, located a stone's throw from our holiday center. Here you can also book city walkswhere the class can hear about the city's history based on different themes. You can also take a stroll past Svendborg harbor and the vibrant city center.
For something a little more active, we recommend the most fun Gorilla Park where you can feel the rush in your stomach as you venture over wobbly swinging bridges, cycle between treetops or enjoy the view as you fly through the air on one of Gorilla Park's many cable cars or many of the fun climbing challenges.
If you want to go on day trips with the camp, you can visit the area's exciting castles such as Egeskov Castle, go island hopping in Geopark Det Sydfynske Øhav, or try out Funen's many hiking and biking trails. Whatever you want to include in your camp, it can be done from STØBERIET. THE FOUNDRY - The perfect choice for camp
STØBERIET is designed so that you can usually gather the entire school camp at the same time at the holiday center. Teachers and adults can sleep in single or double rooms, while students can stay in 4-bed rooms. All our rooms have a private shower and toilet, TV and free Wi-Fi. If you want to be entertained at the holiday center, students can enjoy our large activity room with table tennis, table football, air hockey, board games, etc.
You are also free to use our lovely courtyard. Here you'll find a panna field (small soccer field), climbing activities, and a fire pit where you can, for example, make snow bread.
At STØBERIET you can satisfy your hunger with our delicious breakfast buffet, so all excursions start with good energy. You can also pack good packed lunches for the day trip, and you can also enjoy lunch and dinner buffets if that fits in with your plans. If the weather is nice, there's also the option to have fun and eat outdoors. If you want to make use of the holiday center's linen packages with bed linen and towels during your stay, this can be purchased.
Get inspiration for the camp school
There are always activities to suit you when you bring your school camp to Svendborg. If you're into sports and outdoor activities, you can visit the SG Sports Center or take a guided tour on one of the area's many MTB routes. If the theme of the camp is the environment and climate, you can visit the District Heating Center or the Self-sufficient Village, and there is also a wealth of natural, historical and social science experiences in the area.
